“I’m both ecstatic and nervous,” said Magdaong.

Neither Magdaong, nor Darrow know if they have a chance to win districts, but they are hopeful.

“I don’t know if I’ll win, I’m just hoping,” Magdaong said.

Between Darrow and Magdaong, there are engineering and scientific method-based projects.

Magdaong’s project was building a cell phone microscope, whereas Darrow’s project was about what kind of fan configuration would cool a room the best.

To Darrow, the science fair was fun and he enjoyed doing it.

“I enjoyed doing the science fair it was fun, and I hope districts will be as well,” he said.
