As spring slowly approaches, Coral Shores baseball players start to prepare for the upcoming season.

This year, the baseball team enters the season with high hopes and is looking to win districts.

“I’m expecting for us to have a really good team this year, we should have a shot at winning districts,” senior Aiden Hawkins said.

Many players believe they have a great pool of talent to choose from this year to make the best team possible.

“This year’s baseball team has a lot of talented players,” senior Ty Harrelson said. “Almost everyone is a standout player.”

In preparing for the season some of the players have been on the field practicing and perfecting their craft, however official practices don’t start until January.

“Even though official practices haven’t started the guys are working hard preparing to make this a good season, JV [junior varsity] and varsity alike,” JV Head Coach Pat Meyer said.

The players who are already preparing for the season have also already set up personal goals.

“A personal goal of mine is to hit a home run, that would be awesome,” sophomore Dillon Walters said.
