This year 10 seniors – five boys and five girls – have been placed in the running to be known as the king and queen of homecoming. The two winners will be announced at halftime of the homecoming football game.

These candidates will be required to be a part of the homecoming parade as well as part of halftime.

The five girls are Mallory Hudson, Keeley Catarineau, Lauren Farr, Elise Anderson, and Mackenzie Smith.

The five boys selected are Abran Mendoza, Sean Walters, Jordi Hortensi, Robby Majeska, and Cullen Kennedy.

When the candidates were announced, some of them were shocked to have made it.

“No I didn’t expect to make it, but it’s an honor to be one of the five girls to make it with two classes voting,” said Hudson.

Some boys were surprised as well.

“I did not expect to make homecoming court because my class is full of good-looking, fine young men who all easily could have made court,” said Mendoza.

Though they are both shocked, some teachers agree with Hudson.

“It is an honor to be on homecoming court, your classmates are saying that you’re a good representative of the senior class and the school as a whole,” said Ms. Rosenow, leadership teacher.
